Ayaiz Ahmed and Paul Campbell, Health Improvement Practitioners from the Greater Manchester Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, will be at Saturday’s League One fixture v Oldham Athletic to raise awareness of bowel cancer screening to fans.
They will be highlighting the importance of bowel cancer screening, how to spot the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, and the importance of the bowel cancer screening test kit for the over 60s.
Raising awareness of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme offers the chance to reach out to different groups, some of whom might not be aware of the importance of detecting and treating bowel cancer at the earliest opportunity.
Knowing even one simple fact about the benefits of using the Bowel Cancer Screening kit could ultimately save someone’s life! Peer support can be good way of sharing experiences.
