Rochdale Football Club is delighted to confirm that midfielder Callum Camps has been called up to the Northern Ireland Under 21 squad for next week’s European Championship qualifier.
The 19-year-old will join up with his team-mates on Friday ahead of the side’s match against Macedonia on Tuesday night.
Manager Keith Hill is pleased that Camps has received a call-up: “I’m glad that Callum has got the recognition - it's great exposure for him.
“It’ll be another learning opportunity for him when he meets up with his squad and when he plays on Tuesday, and when he comes back I hope he can bring some of his learnings with him.
"He’s a good player and he could be an absolutely outstanding player for us and Northern Ireland. He should be given every opportunity to add more strings to his bow and this is one way he can do it.”
