We’ve had The Beatles day and Oasis day at Spotland, now it’s the turn of The Stone Roses.
After last week’s announcement that The Stone Roses are once again back with live gigs, we’ll be marking the news at this weekend’s League One fixture v Wigan Athletic.
Stone Roses songs make up a big part of the play list at Spotland, with songs such as ‘Waterfall’, ‘Sally Cinnamon’, ‘I am the Resurrection’, ‘I Wanna Be Adored’, and ‘This is the One’, which is our current walk out tune, all featuring.
As with our previous Beatles and Oasis days, we are asking fans to choose the Stone Roses songs we play. The top ten most requested will be played throughout the day, in addition to our usual play list, which receives plaudits from visiting fans and journalists, and attracts attention from both local and national media.
Requests can include any Stone Roses singles or album tracks, lead singer Ian Brown's solo material, or any Seahorses (guitarist John Squires other band) songs.
