Our first intake of Elite Development Squad students signed their contracts last week at a celebration evening at Spotland.
The students attended Dale’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Quarter Final against Morecambe and signed their contracts in front of friends and family before the game.
Rochdale Football Club has teamed up with Hopwood Hall College to offer a two year sport and football qualification, which sees the students study while playing football.
The Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sport and Football course is delivered from Dale’s newly refurbished Education Suite at Spotland Stadium and students play in the BCS ECFA League. The academic teaching is delivered by Hopwood Hall College tutors, while the students are trained by Rochdale AFC staff.
