The work to renovate the Spotland pitch ahead of the 2015-16 campaign is now complete.
Contractors, who had been on site since last Sunday, finished the extensive overhaul of the playing surface on Friday.
The renovations started with the existing surface being removed to allow a clean bed to start the works, before fibre sand, which will keep the pitch knitted together when the new seed establishes, was spread and parrow harrowed the into the surface. The final stages saw the contractors raking the surface before re-seeding and adding fertiliser.
The next step is to apply plenty of water using the sprinkler system, which will ensure growth.
