Pupils from Littleborough Primary School have recently represented Dale at the regional finals of the Football League’s Kinder+Sport Kids Cup.
The youngsters had earned their chance to play in the competition at Crewe Alex after emerging victorious from the preliminary rounds, which saw teams from more than 40 schools in the Borough competing to represent Rochdale AFC in the competition.
Up for grabs at Crewe Alex was the chance to progress to the final of the competition, which is played at Wembley before kick-off at the League One play-off final in May. Oldham Athletic were the overall winners of the regional stages and will now go on to Wembley.
Littleborough Primary School gave a hundred percent through-out the tournament, with highlights being beating Scunthorpe United 3-0 and the overall winners of the competition, Oldham Athletic, with the same score line.
