Rochdale’s under 18 side will travel abroad this summer, having secured funding for a pre-season trip to Holland.
They’ll set off on their 12 day trip on July 27th.
While in Holland, the lads will pit their wits against three Dutch sides – FC Dordrecht, FC Twente and FC Volendam – as they prepare for the new season using top facilities.
The trip, which is fully funded through the LFE’s Erasmus+ project, will provide the youth team players with the opportunity to fully integrate with the host club (RKC), giving them a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into life within a European club. They’ll also complete a cultural programme in addition to their busy training schedule.
The following friendly fixtures have been arranged for before they depart:
Saturday 11th July: Preston (A) - venue & time to be confirmed
Wednesday 15th July: New Mills (A) – 7.45pm kick off
Saturday 18th July: Bradford (H) - venue & time to be confirmed
Wednesday 22nd July: Carrington Tournament (behind closed doors)
