Assistant Manager Chris Beech is pleased that Dale will start the 2015-16 campaign with back-to-back home games.
Rochdale will host Peterborough United on the opening day of the Sky Bet League One season on Saturday 8th August, before welcoming Coventry City to Spotland three days later in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
“To be playing another great team at home right at the start of the season is excellent, and to give our supporters two great opportunities to come and see us early in the season is brilliant," said Beech as he gave his reaction to the cup draw.
“We don’t take anything for granted, but at the same time, to be playing at home fills you with vigour.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the lads in action on the back of a hard and energised pre-season.”
