Rochdale’s under 18 side fly out to Holland today (Monday) for a 12-day pre-season trip.
While in Holland, the lads will pit their wits against three Dutch sides – FC Dordrecht, FC Twente and FC Volendam – as they prepare for the new season using top facilities.
The trip, which is fully funded through the LFE’s Erasmus+ project, will provide the youth team players with the opportunity to fully integrate with the host club (RKC), giving them a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into life within a European club. They’ll also complete a cultural programme in addition to their busy training schedule.
Dale are one of eight Football League clubs to have received funding for the trip and will be joined in Holland by - Bury, Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra, Derby County, Middlesbrough, Millwall and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
