Manager Keith admits he feels for Rhys Bennett, who broke his arm while on the pre-season trip to Tenerife.
Rhys underwent surgery on Wednesday and returned back to the UK with the squad on Thursday.
Speaking to Dale Player, Hill commented: “It’s unfortunate because Rhys had missed three days with a little bit of fatigue and he came back into the training session on Monday.
“It was just an innocuous challenge and a collision of arms, but unfortunately Rhys has broken his lower forearm.
“It’s such a shame because Rhys has suffered a couple of serious injuries while I’ve been at the football club. Previously he had knee ligament trouble and now he has broken his arm.
“It’s unfortunate for Rhys as well because he’s a good football player and he’s also a good kid.”
