Following last week’s gruelling schedule in Tenerife, the players have completed another tough week in preparation for the start of the 2015-16 campaign.
With four training sessions and two 45 minute games under their belt, Manager Keith Hill believes the week has been a success and explains how the pre-season schedule will develop over the next seven days.
“It has been a hard week for the players but a very successful week.
“Now we’re getting into the 90 minute situations/ match play and that’s what we’re looking at on Saturday with the two games that we’ve got at Macclesfield Town and Manchester United.
“They’ve all played 45 minutes through the course of last week and we’re now trying to get as much of the players through 90 minutes, so I’m looking forward to this weekend.
“We’ll then move forward into a rest day on Sunday, train on Monday, have training/ game day on Tuesday, in on Wednesday, off Thursday, before having our preparation/ training day on Friday before the game on Saturday.”
