LAST MEETING

Sheffield United 1-0 Rochdale: September 13th 2014

Sheffield United were 1-0 winners over Rochdale when the two sides met at Bramall Lane earlier in the season.

Dale were beaten by a cruel deflection seven minutes from time. Keith Hill’s side had been comfortable throughout a goalless first half, and were inches away from taking the lead in the second half when Ian Henderson struck the bar with superb half volley, but they were dealt a blow when Jamal Campbell-Ryce’s cross was deflected up over Conrad Logan and into the back of the net.

Dale XI on the day: Logan, Rafferty, Eastham, O’Connell, Tanser, Bennett, Allen, Dawson, Vincenti, Henderson, Done. Subs: Diba, Lancashire, Andrew, Hery, Fenelon, Kennedy and Bunney.
