Manager Keith Hill says there could be changes to the starting line-up for Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup tie against Coventry City at Spotland.
Dale head into the match after starting the 2015-16 campaign with a resounding 2-0 win over Peterborough United. Callum Camps and Reuben Noble-Lazarus netted in the impressive display.
Speaking after Saturday’s game, Hill looked ahead to the cup tie against the Sky Blues.
He told Dale Player: “The hardest thing to do as any manager is to suppress expectation and pressure, but we’ll just try and do what we do at Rochdale. I said during the week that with respect to resources we’re probably not even in the top 12 in league two.
“I think we’ll back up today [Saturday] with selecting a little bit of a different side after looking at the opposition.
“And if you look at Callum Camps, Donal McDermott and Joe Bunney, I think they looked quite tired, but we had a good wave from the bench so I’m really pleased.”
Rhys Bennett and Matty Lund will both miss the match through injury, while Joe Rafferty is available for selection after serving a one match ban.
