The Football League have released a selection of attendance stats from last season…
First and foremost, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who followed Keith Hill’s side up and down the country during the 2014-15 campaign.
The stats show that on average, we had the largest away following last season, as a percentage of the average home attendance at Spotland. The figure is 17.8% and we top the table of clubs across the Football League - Championship, League One and League Two.
Not only that, the club saw one of the biggest attendance growths last season. The attendance was up by 14%, which was the 10th best in the Football League.
And it seems we’re also popular with away fans. Spotland was the fifth most visited ground in League One last season, with an average of 808 fans supporting the opposition.
