We can confirm that Stephen Dawson underwent surgery this week. He had an operation on a cartilage problem.
Dawson was forced off against Oldham Athletic on March 24th and while there's still a possibility that he could be back in contention before the season is out, Assistant Manager Chris Beech reckons time could be against him.
“I know world records have been set and Stephen is trying to convince everybody that he’ll be back within 14 days,” joked Beech.
"That's unrealistic, though. He may catch the edge of the season and he might be available if we do excellent in April and extend the season.”
