Hill: Bravo To Bristol City

10 April 2015

Manager Keith Hill says Bristol City’s double scoop of the Sky Bet monthly awards is thoroughly deserved.

Hill and Ian Henderson were nominated alongside Robins Manager Steve Cotterill and defender Aden Flint for the March awards.

And while Hill and Hendo missed out on the trophies, the Gaffer admits that he is pleased to have been short-listed, but says that Bristol City pair are worthy winners.

“The nominations reflect not just the results that we picked up, but the results that others picked up during March,” Hill told Dale Player.

“We wanted 14 points from those seven games and we actually got 15 so that’s a great return of points. It’s a little bit of exposure for Hendo, which is superb, but I’ve just got to say bravo to Bristol City, as well as Stevie Cotterill and Aden Flint.

“I think they’re an outstanding side. I watched them against Swindon Town and you almost have to salute them with admiration because they’re superb. They’re relentless and I think they’re going to add the title to their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win at Wembley. It doesn’t surprise me that they’ve won their awards and like I said, bravo to both.”
