‘The 11’ is back to recognise the football and academic progress of apprentice players up and down the land.
The competition organised by League Football Education (LFE), which also assesses other factors such as apprentice involvement in club community based initiatives, is judged by LFE’s team of regional officers and will run on four occasions (October, December, February and May) during the 2014-15 season.
Those who make LFE’s XI for October are:

• Kabongo Tshimanga (MK Dons)
• Regan Poole (Newport County)
• Nyal Bell (Rochdale)
• Louis Reed (Sheffield United)
• Ryan Johnson (Stevenage)
• Tom Smith (Swindon Town)
• Louis Robles (Wigan Athletic)
LFE chief executive Alan Sykes, said: “This competition is associated directly to apprentice reviews that are conducted by our regional officer’s throughout the season and is a great way to showcase the achievements and progress of talented young footballers on the apprenticeship programme.”
