Tom Kennedy moved out on loan on Thursday afternoon, joining Bury until January, and with TK’s opportunities limited due to the emergence of Scott Tanser, Manager Keith Hill admits that Tom was keen to find regular football.
He told Dale Player: It was difficult for Tom and it can be difficult during your career. Me and Tom are very close, with respect to being friends as well as him being a player who has represented me at Rochdale and at Barnsley.
“He was finding it very difficult not playing. We had conversations and he understands that Scott Tanser is playing really well and he understood the situation. He has seen it and has witnessed what a special player Scott is. As much as he has found it difficult, he has found it easy supporting and helping Scott, which has been brilliant from Tom Kennedy’s perspective.
“At his age and at this stage in his career he found it difficult not playing, so we’ve addressed it and he goes with my blessing.”
