“To get out there on the pitch on FA Cup nights is special for the boys. Nights like these don’t come around very often, so to get out there and to perform and do well is great.
“The boys went out and did what we wanted them to do, particularly in the second half. We scored some good goals and there were some good performances. It was a good result and they’ve done well.
“They’re trying to do everything we ask them. There was a few dips and blips tonight but that happens. We’ve just got to continue the individual form and the collective form that the lads are showing and see where it takes us.
“As long as they keep trying to learn and develop and trying to take things forward all the time, which they are, then you’ve got a lot to work with. The results [that they have recorded recently] are coming from them wanting to work at things and do well.”
