Manager Keith Hill has secured his first addition of the summer with the recruitment of Jack Muldoon.
The forward, who has been training with Dale on a regular basis since the start of the year, has agreed a one-year-deal, effective from the start of the new season.
Jack makes the move to Spotland from Evo-Stik Northern Premier side, Worksop Town, where has spent the 2013/14 season, scoring 21 goals.
The 24-year-old started his career at Scunthorpe United before having spells at Brigg Town, Sheffield FC and North Ferriby United.
Manager Keith Hill commented: “He’s a goal scorer, he’s a provider, he’s got plenty of pace and power, he can play in a number of positions, and he fits into the balance of the type of squad that we want. We’ve had a really good look at him and to offer him a contract was the easiest thing I could do.
“I’m not afraid to take him into League One at all - he’ll be a pleasant surprise. Jack’s not a household name at the moment, but he will be, don’t worry about that.”
We'll have more from Keith Hill, plus word from Jack online later.
