Club & Fans Celebrate Promotion

7 May 2014

Hundreds of fans turned out on Tuesday night to watch as the Chairman, Manager Keith Hill, the players and staff celebrated promotion to League One with an open top bus parade and a civic reception at the Town Hall.

The bus set off from Spotland to cheers from fans and well-wishers who had lined the stadium car park, before making its way to the Town Centre where hundreds of supporters, who were in fine voice, had congregated along the esplanade to welcome the promotion winning squad.

Promotion medals were presented to the players along with the Sky Bet League Two promotion trophy, before Keith Hill, the Chairman and Captain Peter Cavanagh addressed the fans from the balcony.

Players, club staff, council members and invited guests then went into the Town Hall’s Great Hall to toast their success at the civic reception.
