We can confirm that Sean McGinty has joined Dale on loan from Sheffield United.
The 20-year-old defender has moved to Spotland until the end of the season, with the paperwork completed before the 5pm loan window deadline.
McGinty, who started his career at Charlton Athletic before moving to Manchester United, has been at the Blades since the summer.
Earlier this season the Republic of Ireland under 21 international spent a month out on loan at fellow League Two side Northampton Town. He has also had loan spells at Morecambe, Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers during his career.
