Jamie Allen took time out of his pre-season training schedule last week to chat to children attending the first soccer school of the summer.
The midfielder, who was handed a professional contract last summer, was a regular at the Trust’s 5-a-side complex during his childhood days. It was here that he was recommended to the club’s Academy, before rising through the ranks to skipper the Youth Team and then going on to become one of the first team’s highly rated squad.
The courses, organised by Dale’s Football in the Community Trust, continue throughout the summer holidays and are taking place at two different venues this week - The Soccer Factory and St Mary's Primary School in Middleton.
