The Football Club has asked the Trust to seek supporter opinion as to whether to close one of the stands for the forthcoming home friendly games.
It has been proposed by the club not to open the Sandy Lane terrace for the home friendlies with Wigan, Bolton and Middlesbrough. The thinking being that financial savings could be made by the club by not opening that stand for those games with no wages required for stewarding, catering and the turnstiles. Entrance to the games is the same price for all parts of the ground so there will be no cost implication for supporters in this move.
No decision has been taken as of yet as the club are keen to take on board supporter opinion before making such a move.
