Rochdale travel to Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Manager Keith Hill spoke to Dale Player ahead of the Sky Bet League Two fixture.
“Nobody knows which way the league is going to go – we’ve just got to take each game individually,” said Hill.
“We’re at a stage where we have to maintain our form and maintain our position within the top seven. When you’re driving into the last 10 games of the season, that’s when your season is ultimately decided.
"It’s not decided on what you do in the first, second or third ten games of the season, it’s always the last ten games of the season and we’ve seen so many times [teams falling away]. I don’t expect us to fall away but I also don’t expect any added pressure on this young team that we’re trying to develop.
“I was speaking with the Chairman after the game on Saturday and we’re rightly 12 months into what has been a foundation laying season. We’re in a great position and we want to utilise that – we want continued success but we’re going to have to judge our success game by game.”
He continued: “I’m really pleased, we’re looking forward to the Northampton game and the Dagenham game after that, but I really don’t want too much pressure on the players. They’ve been magnificent and there’s a real, real hunger to be successful and to continue our good form in the league.
“Northampton are a dangerous side. Every side in this league is a dangerous side and there’s quality in abundance throughout the league. It’s a game that we’ll respect, it’s an opposition that we’ll respect and I’m sure they’ll respect us.”
