We’re delighted to announce that following the success of the #BrandonsBeard campaign, Brandon received his new specialist bed in time for Christmas.
This was achieved through the fantastic fundraising efforts of supporters, players, ex-players and club staff, and we cannot thank you enough for the generosity and kindness shown both throughout November and since the appeal ended.
Attempts to reach the target were given a huge boost following Rickie Lambert’s kind gesture of donating his signed England shirt. It was snapped up in our auction by a Southampton fan for an incredible £755.
Meanwhile, Dubai based Dale supporter Ross Pennington, who was the successful bidder of the signed Sky Bet Man of the Match ball, attended our Boxing Day fixture v Mansfield Town and the ball was presented to him by Brandon and his Dad, Assistant Manager Chris Beech.
Brandon, who turned 11 years-old on Wednesday, is currently spending a week in Leeds General Infirmary to allow Doctors to carry out tests on his liver. Saturday’s FA Cup win over Leeds United put a massive smile on his face and he sent us this photo on Tuesday…
