The Spotland pitch has received top marks from the Football League’s Playing Surfaces Committee.
Marks are giving to the pitch by the match referee and visiting Manager after every home game and the Spotland pitch has received a fantastic score. All pitches are marked on a five point scale, with Dale being awarded a mark of 4.58 for the first half of the season. This is higher than Sky Bet League Two average, which is 4.12.
Congratulations must go to our Head Groundsman Oli Makin, his assistant Drew Duffy and the volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the Spotland pitch is in top condition.
