As part of World Book week 2014, our Lady and St Paul's R.C. Primary School in Heywood challenged their pupils to an Extreme Reading Competition.
To successfully complete the Extreme Reading Challenge, pupils had to get a photo taken reading a book in an unusual place during the half term holidays.
Ciaran Sherry, who is in Year 6 and an avid Rochdale fan, was spending his half term with Rochdale’s Football in the Community team at the Soccer Factory and just before lunch on Monday, Ciaran met the Dale first team as they took a break in training. The players were keen to help Ciaran with his challenge and they posed for pictures with the youngster, before signing his training top.
