Dale ladies reached the final of the North Manchester Girls Under 15s Cup last week - a great achievement for the newly formed side.
After beating Failsworth Girls 3-1 in the semi-finals, they set up a tie against Glossop, who went on to win the competition.
Head of Community, Keith Hicks, commented: "This has been just reward for their progress from the start of the season as a newly formed team with several players never having played structured football before.
"I must admit that it has been a struggle against some of our opponents who have been competing for four or five years, but the commitment and enthusiasm never fails to amaze me.
"Congratulations goes to Community Staff Jordan and James for their efforts, plus Siobhan who is seen as an ideal role model with her playing achievements at Rochdale and Huddersfield Ladies."
He added: "This is all as a result of the FA/Football League Trust’s Female Football Development Programme co-ordinated by Nicol Meredith, which locally has seen over 180 girls aged 14+ taking part in our football coaching sessions.
"We have plans to develop the Club further with three age groups identified for next season and eventually a thriving set up delivering football for under 8s."
