Dale Partnership With Rochdale Leisure Centre & Link4Life

14 August 2014

Rochdale Football Club is pleased to announce a new partnership with Link4Life and Rochdale Leisure Centre.

The partnership will see them provide facilities for Dale’s playing staff to train, as well as facilities for players, who are recovering from injury, to work with the Physio Team to get them back on the field as soon as possible.

Dale’s Corporate Sales and Marketing Manager, Iain Johnstone, commented: “The club are delighted to be working with Link4Life and Rochdale Leisure Centre.

“We now have access to excellent local facilities which will be used for fitness and rehabilitation.

"The partnership will also see a number of joint initiatives being introduced and visibility at both venues for both partners. It is an excellent opportunity for two of the Town’s high profile businesses to work together and increase awareness of the benefits of fitness and health in the community.”

Link4Life
The purpose is to lead and manage the delivery of high quality, enjoyable, affordable, accessible cultural provision in Rochdale Borough that gives residents and visitors the opportunity to lead the active, creative and healthy lifestyle of their choice.

Over £34 million of investment has been made. Three new centres have opened – Middleton Arena, Heywood Sports Village and Rochdale Leisure Centre – with improvements made to other facilities. The borough of Rochdale now has some of the best facilities in the country (Since 2009).

Rochdale Leisure Centre
This is the newest and largest of the Borough’s new leisure centres which opened in July 2012 and it completes over £34 million of new investment in new facilities in recent years. The centre incorporates a number of new innovations including a large learner pool with moveable floor and a high quality thermal suite. It also has an eight lane 25m, 150 station gym, a smaller activity gym for programmed sessions, and for the first time in the town, it has a fully accessible four-court sports hall.
