Dale Trust's 10th Birthday

1 April 2014

This coming Saturday will see the Dale Supporters Trust celebrate their 10th birthday.

In recognition of the decade since their formation, a representative from Supporters Direct, plus former Chairman of the Trust, Ian Bailey, will attend Rochdale’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against York City this weekend. They’ll be joined by four members of the Trust, who are attending the game as guests of the club.

Over the last ten years, the Trust has raised a significant sum of money in order to help both the Football Club and various local charities. Cash has gone towards helping purchase items including new pitch covers and safety netting for behind the goal in the Pearl Street Stand. Charities including Factor 50, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Dale’s very own Football in the Community Trust have all benefited from donations.

Dale Trust Chairman David Gartside, commented: “We are particularly grateful to Supporters Direct, who are the Governing Body overseeing Trusts, and who helped in our formation some 10 years ago.

“We would also like to thank our previous Chairmen and past Board Directors who have all put in valuable time and considerable effort. Of course, we act on behalf of our members, so without that support and generosity, we would not exist.

"We also enjoy an excellent relationship with all departments of Rochdale Football Club and give members the chance to communicate effectively with the main Board of the Club.”

Happy Birthday from all at Rochdale Football Club!
