Manager Keith Hill has bolstered his attacking options with the addition of Graham Cummins.
The forward has joined Rochdale on loan until January from League One side Preston North End.
The 25-year-old, who has been at the Lillywhites since January 2012, has moved to Spotland in order to gain regular game time.
Cummins started his career at Cobh Ramblers in 2006, before having a one season spell at Waterford United.
He earned himself a move to Cork City in March 2010 and went on to become the first Cork player to score more than 20 goals in one season, after netting a record of 24 goals.
He has made 39 appearances for Preston North End since joining for an undisclosed fee, scoring five times.
Welcome to Spotland, Graham!
