New loan signing Graham Cummins has been chatting to Dale Player after penning a move which will see at Spotland until January.
The 25-year-old, who had been keen to finalise a loan deal in order to play regular first team football, says he is delighted to have joined Rochdale.
He said: “I think for any player it’s always frustrating sitting in the stands, but the Gaffer at Preston [Simon Grayson] is a top guy and he always keeps you involved so you never feel out of the team.
"In fairness to him, he wanted me to go out on loan to get games and I’m really delighted to come to Rochdale because it’s a great club. I’ve talked to Shane [Cansdell-Sherriff who spent time on loan at Dale last season] and David Buchanan, and they can’t speak highly enough of it.
“I’m grateful that I could get out on loan and I’m looking forward to getting started. I’m itching to go and I’m really looking forward to Saturday’s game against Bury because that is a massive game.”
