Rochdale's under 18 side booked their place in the second round of the Youth Alliance Cup on Saturday after hitting six past Grimsby Town during a rampant 25 minute spell.
The game was level heading into the interval, but six second half goals ensured progression for Rick Ashcroft's side.
Callum Camps opened the scoring with a 35 yard volley, while Dimi Tuanzebe doubled their advantage from close range moments later. Danny Whitehall made it three just a minute after that, before Tuanzebe netted his second of the afternoon with curling effort from 20 yards. Captain Connor Martin made it four, while Nyal Bell rounded off proceedings.
