Sky Bet, the Title sponsor of The Football League, have donated a limited edition Man of the Match ball, signed by the entire Rochdale squad, to the Brandon’s Beard appeal.
The ball, along with a pair of tickets to Rochdale’s home match v Exeter this Saturday, will be going under the hammer this week.
The proceeds will go to the Brandon’s Beard appeal, raising money for a special bed for assistant manager Chris Beech’s son Brandon, who suffers from cystic fibrosis.
The retro Mitre 125 ball will be presented to the winning bidder by the Rochdale Man of the Match from the Exeter game.
The signed ball joins the Sky Bet Manager of the Month award that Rochdale boss Keith Hill is auctioning for the appeal.
Rochdale assistant manager Chris Beech said: “We’d like to thank Sky Bet for their generous donation to the Brandon’s Beard appeal.
“The players, staff and fans have been brilliant in showing their support and I have been totally overwhelmed at the response we’ve received. It’s great to have the Football League sponsor helping out as well.”
Sky Bet Sponsorship Manager Matt Cook said: “Rochdale are working really hard to raise money for the Brandon’s Beard appeal – it’s a great cause.
“The Man of the Match ball is being presented at all of the televised Sky Bet Football League games but this is a fantastic chance for fans to own one.”
Bidding starts today [Monday November 18] and the lot will stay open until 4pm on Thursday November 21.
