It’s with much sadness that we report the passing of Club President, Mrs Lilian Stoney.
Mrs Stoney passed away peacefully at home on Thursday night, aged 95.
She had been connected to the club for many years after becoming President in 1985 and attended games at Spotland with her family right up until her death.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs Stoney’s family.
A minute's applause will take place before kick-off at this Saturday's game v AFC Wimbledon.
The funeral will take place at the Crematorium on Monday 11th November 2013 at 11.50am.
The family has asked for family flowers only, but donations in memory of Mrs Stoney can be sent to the NSPCC via the funeral directors (Dixons Funeral Service, Rochdale).
