Gray Looking To Push On

29 November 2013

Reece Gray says he is looking forward to a new challenge after joining Halifax Town on loan until January.

The 21-year-old, who has already spent time out on loan at Hyde FC this season, told www.rochdaleafc.co.uk: “I’d like to thank Hyde for the opportunity they gave me. They are playing some good football despite the results and I hope their luck changes very soon."

He continued: “I’m ready for a new challenge and I’m looking forward to going out on loan to Halifax. I’ve played against them and they look like a good team. They’ve got a good stadium and a good pitch.

“I’ve spoken to Matty Pearson (the former Dale defender who joined Halifax following his departure from Spotland) a few times and I’ve heard a lot of good reports, so I’m looking forward to getting started there.

“I obviously didn’t play for 12 months because of my injury so I feel as though going out on loan is important for me to get my confidence back up, to get match fitness, to get games under my belt and then hopefully it will all come together. Being out for a year was really hard, but hopefully I’ll push on out on loan at Halifax and then fight for a place here.”
