Peter Cavanagh took a positive step forward in his recovery from injury on Tuesday after taking part in a closed doors bounce game.
The club Captain completed a 90 minute run out against Leeds United, marking his first match involvement since sustaining the achilles problem which has kept him side lined since August.
Manager Keith Hill commented: “It’s really positive news. It has been a difficult time for Cav because he had started pre-season and the season really well. Over the course of the next four weeks he is going to get back to where we need him to be.”
