Rochdale AFC Football in the Community Trust’s 5-a-side tournament on Sunday 17th November proved a winner again with 16 teams competing to a very high standard.
After league matches and quarter finals the last four teams left in the competition were Talbot Head “A”, Sporting Lisbon, Talbot Head “B” and Colo.
Sporting Lisbon and Talbot Head “A” emerged as worthy winners of their respective semi finals winning 5-1 and 4-3 which pitted these two well matched teams in an enthralling final with Talbot edging out their opponents by the odd goal in seven.
Trophies & medals were presented to Talbot Head “A” as winners and Sporting Lisbon who finished the tournament as runners up.
An added bonus for both these teams was an invitation to watch the Dale game v Exeter City from one of the hospitality boxes through a fantastic offer from Rochdale AFC.
The fund raiser was organised as part of activities by Dale’s Community Trust on behalf of Dale Supporter’s Trust and after a generous gesture by Soccer Factory a donation of £150.00 is to be made to
the Brandon's Beard Appeal.
