Manager Keith Hill has confirmed that Josh Lillis will be his number one choice next season.
Lillis has a year left on his contract at the club and will now be working closely with Steve Collis who has agreed to take up a dual role of player/goalkeeping coach for the 2013/14 campaign.
Hill says he’s looking forward to working with the duo again next season.
“There’s a possibility that we might bring one or two goalkeepers in during pre-season for Steve and myself to have a look at, but as it stands I’m more than happy to be working with Josh Lillis and Steve Collis,” said Hill.
“I see Josh as a goalkeeper who can fulfil what we require next season and beyond and he will be my number one. I think there’s still developing to be done and he’s still an outstanding prospect. Steve will be a number two goalkeeper and having spoken with him, if Josh for example was to lose form or to get injured, then we would actively be looking to bring a goalkeeper in onloan.
“We might bring a young ‘keeper in to be nurtured within the environment but I’m more than happy and compatible with Steve and Josh.”
