Supporters can buy their season tickets right up until the day before we kick off the new season which will be on August 3rd against Hartlepool United at Spotland. The ticket office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
The junior supporter price category changes are explained below...
HOW IT USED TO BE
Prior to the 2013-14 season the club had 3 categories of junior supporters, these were:
16s & Under
12s & Under
7s & Under
The 12s & under category was only applicable to season tickets as the club a separate price for these supporters, which was £69 last season, the 16ss & under price was £115 while the 7s & under was free of charge if purchased with an adult ticket.
In terms of match day prices there were just two age categories:
16s & Under
7s & Under
The 16s & under were treated as concessions and paid the concessionary price for the area of the ground that they wished to go in.
A 16s & under supporter also had the opportunity of buying a family ticket if bought with an adult ticket and the junior cost element of this ticket was £7 in the Main stand and £6 in the Pearl Street stand.
A 7s & Under supporter could gain admission free of charge when accompanied by an adult and obtaining a free ticket from the ticket office.
HOW IT IS NOW
The Club wants to engage with its younger supporters from a very early age and offer all Junior Supporters who are aged 7 & Under A FREE SEASON TICKET. The Club have removed the requirement for the 7s & under season ticket to be purchased in conjunction with an adult season ticket, obviously the club would advise that all junior supporters are appropriately supervised. The only criteria we ask for when applying for 7s & Under season ticket is proof of date of birth upon first application, renewals do not need to provide proof of date of birth.
We have removed the 12s & Under Category from both match day prices and season ticket prices.
In terms of match day prices ALL JUNIORS SUPPORTERS are classed as 16 & Under and the admission price is just £5. (for clarity this includes those supporters who are 7 and under)
In terms of season ticket prices the following two categories now apply:
16s & under £89
FREE OF CHARGE 7s & under
THE MESSAGE IS IF YOU ARE A JUNIOR SUPPORTER AGED 16 & UNDER BUY A SEASON TICKET IT’S JUST £89, WHICH IS LESS THAN £4 A GAME. IF YOU ARE 7 OR UNDER GET A SEASON TICKET, ITS FREE OF CHARGE.
