Striker Ashley Grimes has been rewarded for his fine form during December after being named npower League Two Player of the Month.
Grimes netted five goals in five appearances for Dale during the month with a series of stunning finishes, including a double in the 4-1 win over Cheltenham Town at Spotland.
The 26-year-old was up against Scott Davies (Fleetwood Town) and Sean Rigg (Oxford United) for the top award.
npower, Sponsorship Manager Emma Collins commented: “Rochdale couldn’t stop scoring in December and the man leading the charge was Ashley Grimes. It wasn’t just the number of goals that was impressive, the quality of the finishing was jaw-dropping at times and Dale fans will be hoping for more of the same.”
