First Team Lend A Helping Hand

17 January 2013

Manager John Coleman, his assistant Jimmy Bell and the first-team squad have been lending a helping hand as the Ground staff continue to do everything possible to make sure this weekend’s match v Gillingham goes ahead.

The Ground staff have been appealing for volunteers to help clear snow off the pitch in preparation for Saturday’s game, and the players were keen to help.

The squad turned up at Spotland following this morning’s training session and were quick to grab a snow shovel and a wheel barrow.

The Ground staff will stay long into the night tonight (Thursday) and Friday to shift the snow and re-apply the covers, and they would appreciate any extra pairs of hands. Volunteers are welcome at Spotland throughout the day and evening.

Forecasters are predicting further snow fall is predicted late on Thursday night and into Friday morning and we are keeping a close eye on the situation.

As always we will keep you up to date with any further developments.
