This weekend's matchday programme is dedicated to Dale legend Reg Jenkins, who passed away last month
Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s League Two game against Torquay United.
The programme has been maintained at 76 pages this season, but with a host of new features to keep you entertained before, during and after the match.
We start with a front cover image of Dale legend Reg Jenkins, who sadly passed away last month, but to whom this issue is dedicated.
Several one-off articles look back at Reg’s time with the club, including a tribute from Chairman Chris Dunphy, a full statistical breakdown of Jenkins’ Rochdale career and a poignant photograph from his final visit to Spotland.
Manager Keith Hill looks back at last week’s defeat at Northampton, while Eavesdropping looks at a game which was particularly uncomfortable for one of Hilly’s predecessors.
A new style quiz has been compiled to test the grey matter, while Matt Smith’s EXtra Time column updates readers on the recent exploits of some former Dale players.
We have action photos from the game against Bradford and Travellers Tales reports on the trip to Dagenham.
Columnist Dean Smith discusses the media’s over-reaction to young star players, while ‘On This Day’ recalls a former Dale striker who is now plying his trade in the Premier League.
Visitors Torquay United get seven pages of coverage, which includes a look back at the clubs’ many previous meetings.
All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
