Rain fall on Wednesday evening, coupled with rising temperatures, has seen the snow which fell on the Spotland pitch on Wednesday day time completely melt away.
With no further snowfall expected, and temperatures expected to stay well above freezing between now and Saturday, the Ground staff have spent today removing the pitch covers as they begin their preparations for the visit of Torquay.
Covers had been protecting the pitch since Friday after forecasters predicted a cold snap over the weekend and into the early part of this week.
