Henderson Signs For Dale

Keith Hill has bolstered his attacking options with the addition of Ian Henderson

Rochdale manager Keith Hill has bolstered his attacking options with the addition of Ian Henderson from Colchester United.
The 28-year-old left Colchester United by mutual consent at the end of January by new manager Joe Dunne and will come to Spotland as free agent.

Described as a player with a trick or two up his sleeve, Ian has played a dual role for Colchester playing on the right wing and also operating as a forward.

Henderson began his career as a trainee with Norwich City before gaining experience on loan with Rotherham United.  He had spells with Northampton Town and Luton Town before joining Turkish side Ankaragücü in the summer of 2009.

Following six months abroad Henderson joined Colchester United on a free transfer and was top scorer for the U’s in 2010-11 season.
We will have a full interview with Ian later this afternoon.  He will take squad number 40.
