Sky Bet League Two: Burton Albion v Rochdale
The Pirelli Stadium, Saturday 10th August, 3pm kick-off
Rochdale are back on the road this Saturday as they head to the Pirelli Stadium to face Burton Albion.
It’s the second away trip of the week following Tuesday night’s encounter against Championship side Doncaster Rovers in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
Dale head into the match on the back of the spirited performance against the South Yorkshire side, as well as the opening day victory over Hartlepool United. The Brewers, meanwhile, came from two goals behind to earn a point in a 2-2 draw against Cheltenham Town last Saturday in their first match of the new season, and progressed through to the second round of League Cup on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United.
The match could see several former Rochdale players come up against their old club, with the likes of Phil Edwards, Marcus Holness, Michael Symes and Rene Howe who now ply their trade at the Pirelli.

LAST MEETING AT THE PIRELLI STADIUM
December 26th 2012: Burton Albion 3-2 Rochdale
Rochdale fell to a Boxing Day defeat at the Pirelli Stadium last season as Burton Albion emerged as 3-2 winners.
Billy Kee gave the home side the lead on 15 minutes, before Calvin Zola doubled their advantage 10 minutes later. A fine volley from skipper Peter Cavanagh saw Dale pull one back shortly before the interval and Rochdale levelled proceedings nine minutes after the break when Bobby Grant made the most of an error from Nathan Stanton. But Burton responded just three minutes later as Kee bagged his second of the afternoon to seal a victory for Gary Rowett’s men.
