Rochdale return to action on Tuesday night as they travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
Dale head into the match against the South Yorkshire side in a buoyant mood following the opening day win over Hartlepool United.
Manager Keith Hill told Dale Player that his team is prepared for the tie against the Championship outfit.
He said: “We’ve been working on a lot of things in pre-season and it is great when it all comes together. Performances will generate results and it’s important that I keep the players bouncing with respect to the mental energy and the composure they showed today (Saturday) and belief. We do things right on the training pitch and it is evident in performances, but pressure can do a lot of things to you.
“If we hadn’t won that game against Hartlepool then we're going into Tuesday with a little bit of negativity, but now we’re going into the game with belief and we’re going striding into it - that's what’s important for me with having such a young squad."
He added: "We’re well prepared. We know about Doncaster, but we also know our own game. Our players know our own game inside out and that’s more important than what we know about the opposition. We don’t want to drown the players with too much information on the opposition, but we want to keep the confidence high going into the next game without it being arrogant.”
