Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that Norma Jenkins, the wife of Dale legend Reg Jenkins, has been awarded the position of Honorary Vice President of the Club.
Norma and her family have been guests of the Football Club this afternoon (Saturday v Plymouth Argyle), and are attending the End of Season Awards night after the game.
Chairman Chris Dunphy said: “The Club has awarded Mrs Jenkins with this award in recognition of the service given to the club by Reg and because of the special place that he holds in the club’s history and heart.
“The time that Reg spent playing for Dale is a very special time in our history, but we are also aware how much of a special time it was for Norma, Reg and their family. That relationship has continued over many years and many miles.
"It gives us great pleasure in awarding Mrs Jenkins with this award and it further strengthens the relationship between the club and the family, and it recognises the respect and fondness that we have for both Norma and Reg.
