U18s: Tranmere 2-4 Rochdale
Rochdale’s under 18s extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight on Saturday with a 4-2 victory away at Tranmere Rovers.
The youngsters went behind less than 30 seconds into the match after the home side netted from the kick-off. Scott Tanser levelled the scoring from the penalty spot on 15 minutes before Rovers re-gained the lead seven minutes later.
But the match was far from over and Dale responded with the equaliser shortly after falling behind. Debutant Nyal Bell, who is under 16, grabbed the goal. And despite being a goal behind twice, it was Rochdale who went on to take a 3-2 lead into the interval thanks to Andy Cannon who propelled Chris Beech’s side ahead on 37 minutes.
Cannon rounded off proceedings in the second half with an 18 yard drive with 50 minutes on the clock.
